dailyloe.com – Rocket Lab shares rose significantly in afternoon trading on Tuesday, April 21, 2026. The aerospace company’s stock jumped 5.3 percent following an analyst action. Stifel analyst Erik Rasmussen increased his price target on Rocket Lab to $105 from $90. He maintained a Buy rating on the shares.

The new $105 target matched the highest price target on Wall Street for the company. Traders continued to reward companies tied to defense and space spending themes. This likely added to the stock’s upward momentum during the session. Rocket Lab shares are known for their extreme volatility.

The stock has had 74 moves greater than 5% over the last year. In that context, today’s move is considered meaningful by the market. It is not seen as something that would fundamentally change the business perception. The previous notable move occurred just seven days earlier.

At that time, the stock gained 4.5% on positive analyst news. Cantor Fitzgerald maintained its Overweight rating and $85.00 price target. The firm’s confidence was tied to a new multi-launch agreement. The agreement was with the Institute for Q-shu Pioneers of Space, Inc. (iQPS).

This new deal included three additional Electron launches for iQPS. iQPS is a Japanese radar satellite operator. The agreement brought the total number of missions for iQPS to 15. The extended partnership highlighted Rocket Lab’s ability to secure recurring revenue.

Recurring revenue is a key factor in the small launch industry. Rocket Lab is up 17.7% since the beginning of the year. The stock traded at $89.43 per share on Tuesday. It is trading close to its 52-week high of $96.30 from January 2026.

Investors who bought $1,000 worth of shares five years ago would now see $8,476. The stock’s performance reflects significant growth over that period. The latest analyst action provided a fresh catalyst for the share price increase. Market activity continues to focus on the aerospace and defense sector.
