dailyloe.com – A year after taking $100 deposits for a Trump-branded phone, Trump Mobile has updated its terms, indicating that the device may never be available.
The company, T1 Mobile LLC, stated that it “does not guarantee that a Device will be produced or made available for purchase.” This update has raised worries among customers who were promised a chance to buy the phone.
Tech content creator Carter Ryan expressed his frustration, questioning the logic of paying a deposit for an uncertain future purchase. He stated, “I’m paying $100 for the chance to maybe give you more money in the future.”
According to the updated terms, a preorder deposit only provides a conditional opportunity if the company decides to sell the device. The phone, named the “T1,” has faced multiple release delays.
Initially set to ship in August 2025, the launch was postponed to November, then December. Last year, customer service representatives mentioned delays were due to a government shutdown.
Currently, there is no release date on the Trump Mobile website. However, The Verge reported that the company has moved closer to release after obtaining PTCRB certification, necessary for phones in the U.S.
The T1 phone has also reportedly received authorization from the Federal Communications Commission. The device features a gold shell displaying an American flag and the name “Trump Mobile.”
It runs on the Android operating system and includes a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen, a 50-megapixel camera, a fingerprint sensor, and “AI face unlock.”
Originally advertised as made in America, the phone is now described as “designed with American values in mind,” according to the Trump Mobile website. As of now, Trump Mobile has not provided further details on the unreleased phone.
