The series, titled Diana: The Unheard Truth, is produced by Love Monday TV, led by Kerene Barefield and Naveed Chowdhary-Flatt. The project partners with 53 Degrees Global, known as The Royal House of Windsor.
During her lifetime, Princess Diana shared her full life story only once in 1991 through secret taped conversations with her close friend James Colthurst. These recordings served as the foundation for Andrew Morton’s book, Diana: Her True Story.
Love Monday TV has collaborated with Morton and Colthurst to secure full and exclusive access to these conversations, decades after Diana’s death in 1997. The five hours of previously unheard tapes will be divided into three episodes.
The docuseries promises revelations that “will change public perception of Diana forever,” according to Love Monday TV. It is reported that she discusses the challenges of being in the public eye, her aspirations, and a future where Charles marries Camilla.
Love Monday TV stated, “Viewers will be astounded to hear how accurate she was in predicting the future.” Diana’s reflections on Charles, Camilla, William, Harry, Fergie, and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor will also be included.
Sophie Todd is editing the series, with Emily Hirst producing. Justin Frahm serves as the director of photography. The project is fully funded by Rainmaker Films, led by Clay Pecorin, Russell Geyser, and Zak Tanjeloff, along with Plymouth Films, fronted by Kevin Weisberg.
The series currently lacks a distribution platform and is being marketed worldwide.
