dailyloe.com – Shakira, the Colombian star, has announced her new song ‘Dai Dai’ for the 2026 World Cup. The song will feature Burna Boy and is set to release on May 14.

A sneak peek of ‘Dai Dai’ was shared by Shakira through a video filmed at the Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro. This venue recently hosted a concert where Shakira performed for over two million fans.

Shakira is known for her hit ‘Waka Waka (Esto es África)’, the official song of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. She still performs this song during her concerts, including her current tour ‘Las Mujeres YA No Lloran’.

Throughout her career, Shakira has participated in four World Cup ceremonies. She performed ‘Hips Don’t Lie’ at the 2006 final in Germany and ‘La La La’ with Carlinhos Brown during the 2014 closing in Brazil.

While it remains unconfirmed if she will perform at the 2026 World Cup, the upcoming release of ‘Dai Dai’ has raised expectations. The 2026 tournament will be the largest in history, hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

A record 48 teams will compete in 104 matches during this World Cup. The tournament is scheduled to kick off on June 11, featuring Mexico versus South Africa at Estadio Azteca.

The final match is planned for July 19 in New Jersey/New York.
