dailyloe.com – In the latest financial news, the consumer price index rose by 3.8% last month, marking the fastest increase in nearly three years. This rate is the highest since 2023, significantly above the Federal Reserve’s target of 2%. S&P 500 futures are indicating a rise following a previous losing session.

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman testified yesterday in the trial of Musk v. Altman. During his cross-examination, Altman described Elon Musk’s management style as ‘demotivated’ and indicated that his own departure from the startup served as a ‘morale boost’. He expressed that he was ‘completely caught off guard’ when OpenAI’s board briefly removed him as CEO in 2023.

Nvidia’s CEO Jensen Huang is confirmed to be part of the U.S. delegation traveling to China with President Trump. Initially absent from the list of CEOs provided by the White House, Trump later clarified on social media that Huang was indeed aboard Air Force One. A source revealed that Trump had personally invited Huang after noticing media coverage of his exclusion.

Huang’s participation comes as Nvidia faces tight U.S. restrictions on sales to China. A spokesperson stated that Huang is joining the trip ‘to support America and the administration’s goals’. Following this news, Nvidia’s shares increased by more than 2% before market opening.

Additionally, Trump announced that Dr. Marty Makary has resigned as commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration. Kyle Diamantas, a former top official at the agency, will serve as acting commissioner.
