The actress had a history of significant health issues, according to past reports. Le Monde reported that Farès shared in 2007 that she had undergone brain surgery due to an aneurysm.

Nadia Farès was born in Marrakesh, Morocco, in 1968. She rose to prominence in the 2000s with a role in Mathieu Kassovitz’s film The Crimson River. That film was based on the Jean-Christophe Grangé novel of the same name. She later starred in other Hollywood projects, including the 2007 film Storm Warning.
Farès also appeared in dozens of French movies throughout her career. According to Le Monde, she had an upcoming project scheduled. She was set to begin filming an action-comedy film. This project would have marked her return to acting.
