Ruah, who portrayed Kensi for all 14 seasons of NCIS: Los Angeles, addressed where she believes Kensi and Deeks are now. The series concluded with Kensi announcing her pregnancy after adopting a teen during a case. Ruah speculated, “In my opinion, I think they’re back to work. I think they both love what they do far too much.”
She added that she envisions Deeks helping to raise their child, humorously referring to the baby as “little ninja baby Kensi.” Ruah also expressed her belief that they likely had a daughter, stating, “I feel like Kensi would have a tough little girl.”
Kensi and Deeks’ romantic journey began with a date in Season 5, followed by their relationship solidifying in the next season. Their wedding took place in Season 10. Ruah described this evolution in their relationship as “a very natural progression” during the podcast.
She noted, “I thought it was a progression that made sense. I think we always knew off the bat that it would somehow lead in that direction.” Ruah also highlighted her chemistry with Eric Christian Olsen, who plays Deeks, stating, “For those who don’t know, we’re actually family members at this point.”
Ruah is married to David Olsen, Eric’s brother. Since NCIS: LA ended, she has reprised her role as Kensi in the franchise’s 1000th episode and directed episodes of both NCIS and the Hawai’i spinoff.
