In addition to the main show, ABC will introduce a companion series called Dancing With the Stars: The Next Pro this summer. This new show will feature dancers competing for a spot on the professional cast of DWTS. Showrunner Conrad Green mentioned that the winner of The Next Pro is “secretly in the bank” and discussed insights gained about the main show.
Green stated, “[The Next Pro shows] just how many different skills you need to be a pro on Dancing With the Stars. Just being a good ballroom or Latin dancer is the basics.” He emphasized the need for skills in group dancing, choreography, and time management.
Executive producer Deena Katz has begun assembling a competitive lineup for the new season. Among the confirmed participants is Ciara Miller, star of Summer House. Her casting announcement occurred at Hulu’s Get Real House 2026 event during a turbulent time, as she was involved in a Bravo scandal related to Amanda Batula and West Wilson’s relationship.
