dailyloe.com – Cher has filed for a conservatorship of her son Elijah Blue Allman again. The singer filed a petition in Los Angeles Superior Court this week. She cites his severe mental health and addiction issues. The documents were obtained by PEOPLE.
Cher previously filed for a temporary conservatorship in December 2023. She requested herself as the sole conservator at that time. This new filing requests fiduciary Jason Rubin fill the position. The petition seeks control over the 49-year-old’s estate.
Court documents allege Allman is ‘gravely disabled’. They claim he is unable to manage his financial resources. The filing states he cannot withstand fraud or undue influence. This is due to his severe mental health and addiction issues.
Cher alleges Allman ‘has no concept of money’. She claims he spends any money he gets immediately. The documents state he spends it nearly always on drugs. He also spends on expensive hotels and limousine transportation.
The new filing claims Allman’s life has significantly deteriorated. This is since the last conservatorship petition was filed. He is currently in custody in the State of New Hampshire. He is in a locked psychiatric hospital.
Allman is there in an attempt to restore him to competency. He faces criminal charges in two New Hampshire counties. The charges include felony burglary and criminal mischief. They also include simple assault and criminal trespass.
He also faces a charge for breach of bail. The court documents describe this as the current set of problems. The filing follows his arrests earlier this year. Cher is the 79-year-old ‘Believe’ icon.[]
