dailyloe.com – Prime Video released a trailer for ‘Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan: Ghost War’ on Thursday, April 16. The movie is a feature film spinoff from the Prime Video series. John Krasinski reprises his role as CIA analyst Jack Ryan. The film begins streaming on Prime Video on May 20.
John Krasinski returns as the title character after he has left the CIA. He is reluctantly thrust back into espionage during an international covert mission. The mission unravels a deadly conspiracy involving a rogue black-ops unit. The clock is ticking as the threat escalates at every turn.
Wendell Pierce and Michael Kelly reprise their roles from the series. Pierce plays former CIA boss James Greer and Kelly plays CIA operative Mike November. Their combined experience is their only edge against a knowledgeable enemy. Sienna Miller joins the cast as MI6 officer Emma Marlowe.
Miller’s character is a razor-sharp MI6 officer and an unlikely new partner. Jack and the team navigate a treacherous web of betrayal. They face a past they thought was long put to rest. This becomes their most personal and high-stakes mission.
Max Beesley, JJ Feild, Douglas Hodge and Betty Gabriel also star in the new movie. The official synopsis describes the real-time operation with lives on the line. The enemy knows their every move, increasing the pressure. The team must confront this threat directly.
Krasinski developed the movie’s story with Noah Oppenheim. Oppenheim’s credits include ‘A House of Dynamite’ and ‘Jackie’. Aaron Rabin co-wrote the screenplay with Krasinski. Rabin previously wrote five episodes of the Jack Ryan television series.
Aaron Rabin also wrote last year’s action movie ‘Nobody 2’. ‘Ghost War’ is the first movie Krasinski has appeared in since ‘Fountain of Youth’. He starred in that film with Natalie Portman last year. Krasinski announced his return to the role in August 2025.[]
