Moura replaces Oscar Isaac in a lead role. Isaac exited the production due to a scheduling conflict. The film is directed by Panos Cosmatos of ‘Mandy’ fame.
The story is set in 1980s Los Angeles. It follows a married couple, Raoul and Alex, played by Moura and Stewart. They live in a luxury skyscraper condo.
Each night, they descend into the city’s electric nighttime realm. They cross paths with a mysterious woman named Nameless. She leads a hard-partying cabal.
The couple is seduced into a glamorous, surreal world. This world is filled with hedonism, thrills, and violence. A24 has acquired the U.S. distribution rights.
Moura’s casting follows his first Academy Award nomination. He was nominated for ‘The Secret Agent.’ The film adds to A24’s slate of distinctive genre projects.[]
