dailyloe.com – Rocket Lab shares surged for the second consecutive day, driven by investor interest following a strong quarterly report and the upcoming SpaceX IPO.

On Monday, Rocket Lab stock increased by 14%, reaching a record high, building on a 30% jump from Friday after its Q1 results were released.

Year-to-date, Rocket Lab is up 70%, reflecting the growing excitement in the space sector.

For Q1, Rocket Lab reported revenues of $200.3 million, a 63.5% increase year-over-year, with a loss per share of $0.07, slightly better than estimates.

CEO Peter Beck noted that Rocket Lab secured 31 Electron and HASTE rocket missions during the quarter—the highest number signed in a single quarter.

The company’s total backlog reached $2.2 billion, a 20% increase from the previous quarter and up 108% year-over-year.

Additionally, Rocket Lab signed five new dedicated launches for its larger Neutron rocket.

The strong quarterly performance contributed to the growing enthusiasm for the commercial space sector.

In recent strategic developments, Rocket Lab was selected alongside RTX to support the Defense Department’s Space Based Interceptor program.

The company is also set to acquire Motiv Space Systems, enhancing its robotics capabilities.

The two-day stock rally is occurring as investors look forward to the SpaceX IPO, which is expected as early as summer 2026.

Rocket Lab is viewed as a leading publicly traded rocket company, making it a favored choice for investors interested in the broader commercial space opportunity.
