dailyloe.com – Eric Kripke, creator of The Boys, stated the show’s final season was scripted prior to the 2024 U.S. presidential election. He told TV Guide that narrative parallels to current events are coincidental. The series depicts a dystopian America under the villain Homelander.

Kripke explained the writers aimed to portray a 1984-style vision of creeping authoritarianism. He hoped audiences would feel they had dodged a real-world bullet. Instead, he noted, society seems to have been hit by that very bullet.

The showrunner revealed a specific line for Homelander in Episode 7 has already occurred in reality. This happened despite the season’s completion before the election. He expressed disappointment over this unforeseen mirroring of events.

The final season of The Boys streams on Prime Video. It stars Antony Starr as the terrifying superhero Homelander. The series concludes its satirical take on power and corruption.[]
