dailyloe.com – A new trailer for the ‘Street Fighter’ movie reboot debuted on Thursday, April 16, 2026. Paramount Pictures and Legendary released the preview for the video game adaptation. The film features a large ensemble cast led by Noah Centineo, Jason Momoa, and Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson. It is scheduled to punch its way into theaters on October 16, 2026.

The movie is based on the famed Japanese video game series of the same name. It serves as a reboot of the franchise’s two previous film adaptations from 1994 and 2009. Director Kitao Sakurai helms the project. The film aims to bring the arcade battle to the big screen.

An official synopsis sets the story in the year 1993. It follows estranged fighters Ryu and Ken Masters, played by Andrew Koji and Noah Centineo. They are recruited by the mysterious Chun-Li, portrayed by Callina Liang, for a tournament. This World Warrior Tournament is described as a brutal clash of fists, fate, and fury.

The synopsis reveals a deadly conspiracy behind the battle royale. This forces Ryu and Ken to face off against each other. They must also confront the demons of their past. The stakes are presented as ‘GAME OVER’ if they fail.

Noah Centineo, 29, portrays the character Ken Masters. Andrew Koji, 38, plays the fan-favorite fighter Ryu. The pair are thrown back into combat for the global tournament. Their journey forms the core of the film’s narrative.

Jason Momoa, 46, appears in the movie as the character Blanka. Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson, 50, takes on the role of Balrog. They are part of a large and diverse ensemble cast. The cast includes professional wrestlers and musicians.

Professional wrestler Joe ‘Roman Reigns’ Anoai plays the formidable Akuma. Fellow wrestler Cody Rhodes portrays the character Guile. David Dastmalchian is cast as the villain M. Bison. Comedian Andrew Schulz plays Dan Hibiki.

Additional cast members include Vidyut Jammwal as Dhalsim. Eric André portrays the character Don Sauvage. Musician Orville Peck takes on the role of Vega. Olivier Richters is cast as Zangief.

Hirooki Goto portrays the sumo wrestler E. Honda. Rayna Vallandingham plays the character Juli. Alexander Volkanovski is cast as Joe. Saturday Night Live alum Kyle Mooney plays Marvin.

Mel Jarnson portrays the character C in the film. The trailer promises appearances from all your favorite characters. It also teases signature moves like Hadoukens and roundhouses. The film adaptation seeks to faithfully translate the game’s essence.
