dailyloe.com – Multiple tornado warnings were issued for central Indiana counties Friday afternoon, April 24. The National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for northeastern Hancock County and Henry County until 6:15 p.m. A severe thunderstorm warning for Delaware, Hancock, Henry, Madison and Randolph counties is in effect until 6:30 p.m.
The National Weather Service issued a tornado warning at 4:47 p.m. for northern Marion County and southeastern Hamilton County. The warning expired at 5:15 p.m. There have been multiple reports of downed trees, including right outside of the WTHR station at 10th and Meridian streets.

Storm damage was reported in the area, and the damage is being assessed. Multiple Indiana Department of Transportation cameras showed heavy rain across central Indiana as the storms moved through the area. As of 12:40 a.m. Saturday, AES Indiana reported 4,991 customers without power.
Duke Energy reported 262 customers without power at that time. As of 7:30 a.m. Saturday, AES Indiana reported 3,092 customers without power. Duke Energy reported 95 customers without power at that time.
