dailyloe.com – White House adviser Stephen Miller warned Iran on Wednesday that the war could continue indefinitely. He said this would happen if the Iranian regime did not capitulate to President Donald Trump’s demands. Miller made these remarks during an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity.
Miller asserted the conflict could last much longer than initial claims. President Trump had previously said the war would likely last four to five weeks. The warning followed the enforcement of a U.S. naval blockade around Iranian ports. Miller stated this embargo was squeezing Iran’s economy.
“This embargo is squeezing the economic life out of the Iranian regime,” Miller told Sean Hannity. He added the United States had the capacity to continue this indefinitely. This would be the case if Iran chose the wrong path. Miller is the White House deputy chief of staff for policy.
He also serves as a homeland security adviser. Miller is a commanding voice reinforcing the president’s agenda and threats. He repeatedly insisted President Trump wants peace and wants a deal. Miller also bolstered the president’s threat to bomb Iran’s infrastructure.
He warned the Iranian regime that Trump was not bluffing. Miller boasted about the strength of the U.S. military alongside other officials. He asserted America has all of the cards in negotiations with the regime. The goal is to pressure Iran to cease its nuclear enrichment program.
“President Trump has made clear he wants peace, he wants a deal,” Miller said. He stated Trump wants Iran to choose the right path. The president will not allow Iran to pursue or achieve weapons. Miller added every other option is on the table for a final outcome.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth echoed Miller’s sentiments on Thursday morning. He urged Iran to choose wisely or face the wrath of the U.S. military. This could include a continued blockade and bombing of infrastructure. The warnings aim to force Iran to end its nuclear program.
President Trump has said he wants to eliminate Iran as a threat. He seeks to force the regime to end its nuclear enrichment program. This is to prevent the country from obtaining a nuclear weapon. First-round negotiations between the U.S. and Iran faltered recently.
Those talks ended with no deal announced last week. After that, Trump expressed positivity toward Iran’s proposed peace plan. He called Iran’s 10-point plan workable. Yet by Monday, the president had ordered a blockade on Iranian ports.
This move aimed to pressure the regime into agreeing to his terms. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent spoke about further economic plans on Wednesday. He said the U.S. had other plans to strain Iran’s economy further. This includes imposing secondary sanctions on countries buying Iranian oil.[]
