The UTEP Office of Special Events posted on Facebook that fans should confirm their entry gates to speed up the process. Fans reported waiting for hours, causing the concert to be delayed by nearly an hour.
To manage entry more efficiently, UTEP encouraged the use of all available gates. The university stated, “We ask you to please use all available gates so we can get everyone in, in a timely and safe manner.”
The post detailed that general admission could enter through the North, South East, and South West Gates. VIP Soundcheck ticket holders were directed to the North Gate, while premium ticketholders and ADA attendees were to use the West Gate.
Further instructions with QR codes were provided for fans to locate the gates. UTEP also highlighted the importance of downloading tickets to prevent connectivity issues.
The first concert at Sun Bowl Stadium took place on May 2 and 3, with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. Fans noted long lines weaving through the UTEP campus as concert time approached.
Reports indicated that BTS was scheduled to take the stage at 8 p.m. However, due to the long wait times, the concert began about an hour late and ended around midnight.
