dailyloe.com – Robert Irwin, a 22-year-old conservationist, recently shared a frightening encounter with a crocodile on ‘The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon.’ He was ‘death rolled’ by a 14-foot crocodile named Jimmy Fallon.
During his appearance, Irwin explained that he named the crocodile Jimmy Fallon when it was a baby. He stated, ‘He’s not a baby anymore. I named this crocodile Jimmy Fallon, like, years ago, and he’s now what we call a boss croc. He’s huge.’
Irwin detailed how he jumps on crocodiles to study them for conservation purposes, a method introduced by his father. After jumping on the back of Jimmy Fallon, the crocodile ‘death rolled’ him, which left him pinned beneath the animal.
He described the moment, saying, ‘I jumped onto him. I kid you not, 14 foot of crocodile, big croc, death rolls me.’ He recalled being stuck with his arm hanging out and approximately 700 pounds on top of him.
Fortunately, the crocodile rolled back in the other direction, allowing him to escape unharmed. He remarked, ‘And luckily he rolled back the other way, and I was fine. But he’s a goer.’
Robert Irwin is the son of Steve Irwin, known as ‘The Crocodile Hunter,’ who passed away in 2006. Following his father’s death, Robert, along with his mother Teri and sister Bindi, continues to advocate for animal conservation and manage the Australian Zoo.
Robert expressed his dedication to his father’s legacy, stating, ‘To continue this legacy is the honour of my life.’ He shared this sentiment on Instagram alongside footage featuring him and his father.
