One significant cancellation occurred in April: Law & Order: Organized Crime, which ended after five seasons. Christopher Meloni, who portrayed Detective Elliot Stabler, expressed gratitude to fans in an Instagram video, stating, “Thank you. You helped give me a career that I never dreamed of.”
Access Hollywood, a show that has aired since 1996, was also canceled in March and will conclude in September. Frances Berwick, Chairman of Bravo & Peacock unscripted for NBCUniversal, said the changes align with the programming preferences of local stations.
Additionally, Access Daily, a companion show to Access Hollywood, has been canceled. Brilliant Minds, a medical drama that followed an unconventional neurologist, was officially canceled on May 1 after two seasons, being the lowest-rated scripted drama this season.
Stumble, a mockumentary sitcom about a junior college cheerleading coach, has also been axed. The cancellations reflect NBC’s ongoing overhaul as it adjusts its programming lineup.
