She is the first female-identifying performer to play this role. This applies to both the Broadway production and any ‘Moulin Rouge!’ production worldwide. The artist will not appear at the April 26, May 2, and May 10 performances. Eric Anderson, who originated the role, will return to the part on May 19.

Ricky Rojas performs as Santiago and Samantha Dodemaide as Nini Hailee. Arianna Rosario serves as the Satine Alternate. The role of Zidler was originally created by Tony winner Danny Burstein. Eric Anderson played the role on Broadway for two years after originating it in workshops.
