dailyloe.com – McDonald’s CEO Chris Kempczinski faces renewed criticism for his awkward on-camera eating, according to a Fox News report. This follows a viral video review he posted in February for a new burger. The latest backlash stems from an interview published by The Wall Street Journal on April 6.
Kempczinski’s initial video reviewed the Big Arch burger, a limited-time item. He called the hefty burger with two quarter-pound patties a delicious product. The video drew millions of views and thousands of scrutinizing comments.
In the video, Kempczinski wore a sweater vest in a corporate setting. He said, ‘Holy cow! God, that is a big burger.’ Despite his excitement, he only took a very small bite.
He declared, ‘That is so good,’ and described the offering as distinctively McDonald’s. Kempczinski said only McDonald’s could do this type of burger. He said it was unlike anything else on the menu.
The CEO addressed the reaction in his Wall Street Journal interview. He learned of the viral video from one of his children. Kempczinski recounted, ‘I got a call from one of my kids, and they said, ‘Dad, you’ve gone viral and not in a good way.”
Fox News hosts recalled another broadcaster’s refusal to eat on camera. Viewers found Kempczinski’s chicken nugget bite in the new interview worse. They compared it unfavorably to his previous burger video.[]
