Fuga, a B2B distributor owned by Downtown, has renewed and expanded its partnership with Insomniac Music Group, a leader in electronic music. This extended agreement will enable Insomniac to continue utilizing Downtown’s extensive distribution and marketing services.
Fuga will support Insomniac’s global release strategy, which includes catalogue management, distribution, and content support. Additionally, dedicated electronic marketing teams will lead localized campaigns aimed at driving discovery and audience development across the globe.
Renewed Partnership Enhances Support for Artists
Sarah Landy, SVP, Americas at Fuga, emphasized the significance of this collaboration, stating, “Insomniac Music Group has long been a pioneer in electronic music, with global reach and deep cultural influence. We value our shared commitment to high-quality curation and driving opportunities for artists.”
She further expressed enthusiasm regarding the renewal, highlighting the instrumental role that Insomniac plays in inspiring and engaging audiences worldwide. Joe Wiseman, director of Insomniac Music Group, echoed this sentiment, noting, “Downtown has been a true partner in amplifying the voices of our artists and we’re thrilled to extend our partnership.”
Significance of Insomniac’s Imprints
Insomniac Music Group oversees several notable imprints, including Insomniac Records, HARD Recs, Factory 93 Records, and Bassrush. The group also manages artist-led labels such as Max Styler’s Nu Moda and Joseph Capriati’s Metamorfosi.
This partnership began in 2022, and with the recent extension, Insomniac has also renewed its neighbouring rights agreement with Downtown Neighbouring Rights (DNR). Under this renewed agreement, DNR will continue to represent Insomniac’s neighbouring rights interests on a global scale.
Fostering Growth and Global Engagement
Connie Chow, marketing strategy director for dance/electronic at Fuga, remarked on the collaboration, stating, “Few do more to elevate electronic music and its artists than Insomniac. It’s been incredible to work closely with their team to support their releases and help bring their roster to new audiences around the world.”
With this renewed agreement, both Fuga and Insomniac Music Group aim to build upon their previous successes and explore innovative avenues for growth in the electronic music sector.
