dailyloe.com – Daredevil and Kingpin are preparing for a third physical confrontation in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. The long-time nemeses, Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk, have only fought twice before across all series. Marketing for the new season confirms at least one epic fight will break their seven-year non-fighting streak. Their rivalry often involves power moves and political games instead of direct violence.

Promotional material shows a stand-off between Fisk and Murdock in civilian attire. Wilson Fisk, now the Mayor of New York, proclaimed Matt Murdock missing to the city in Episode 3. He hoped this action would force Murdock, secretly Daredevil, out of hiding. The two appear somewhat cordial in one promotional image.

Another shot reveals Matt in his black Daredevil suit fighting Fisk. This battle appears to take place in an underground bunker or cellar. Fisk has been training in the boxing ring during the new season. This training makes him an equally formidable opponent with a size and muscle advantage.

Actor Vincent D’Onofrio confirmed new details about the fight scene to Entertainment Weekly. He stated the scene is very reminiscent of the original Netflix series. D’Onofrio said it is more than they have done in a while in that context. He expressed his love for doing such scenes with co-star Charlie Cox.

D’Onofrio noted he and Charlie Cox hardly ever get to do scenes together. He said Cox has become so good at playing Daredevil that it is a thrill to join him. The actor explained the fight scenes feel real because they are done infrequently. He believes doing them too often would make them lose their power.

D’Onofrio added that they recognize the fights are what fans want. He thinks the creative team understands the scenes must feel earned. The upcoming physical clash will be the third major one between the characters. Their first fights occurred in the original Netflix series and the Disney+ revival.
