dailyloe.com – Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced an investigation into nearly 30 businesses in North Texas for H-1B visa fraud. This development escalates a probe that Paxton initiated earlier this year.
The investigation specifically targets H-1B visas, which allow companies to hire foreign workers in specialized fields, including information technology and medicine. Paxton’s announcement follows allegations of visa fraud and an “Indian takeover” from conservative influencers in cities like Frisco.
Indian applicants represent almost two-thirds of approved H-1B visas. On X, Paxton expressed gratitude to influencer Sara Gonzales, who posted a video in January titled “I Exposed a MAJOR H-1B Visa Scam in Texas,” where she sought visa and business details.
Paxton stated, “I will not allow the H-1B program to be abused by bad actors seeking to use it as a loophole for allowing foreign nationals to invade Texas.” He emphasized that his office aims to uncover and end fraud within the H-1B program.
As part of the investigation, Paxton issued civil investigative demands, requiring companies to submit documents identifying all employees and detailing their products or services. The investigation also requests financial statements and communications regarding company operations.
Among the businesses under scrutiny are Tekpro IT and Fame PBX in Plano, 1st Ranking Technologies in Lewisville, Qubitz Tech Systems in Irving, Blooming Clouds in Horseshoe Bay, Virat Solutions in Frisco, Oak Technologies in Irving, Techpath Inc. in Irving, and Techquency in Cedar Park.
Virat Solutions responded to the allegations, calling them “entirely unfounded” and asserting its cooperation with Paxton’s investigation. The company stated it is providing all relevant documentation and is confident that the facts will support its position.
