dailyloe.com – Actress Susan Lucci, 79, appeared on a red carpet this week to promote her first television role in almost a decade. She stars in the Apple TV+ film Outcome, which is co-written and directed by Jonah Hill. Lucci is best known for her longtime role as Erica Kane on the soap opera All My Children.
She wore a strapless Oscar de la Renta gown adorned with foxgloves at the Outcome premiere. Lucci has been on an acting hiatus for nearly a decade following the 2022 death of her husband, TV producer Helmut Huber. Her last significant TV role was in the ABC show Devious Maids from 2013 to 2016.
Lucci’s recent acting credits include a single 2017 episode of Difficult People and the 2015 movie Joy. She also had guest roles on Hot in Cleveland from 2010 to 2014 and on Army Wives in 2012. She is currently promoting her newest memoir, titled La Lucci, which was released in February 2026.
“I was very happy to receive a script from Jonah Hill, who I have admired forever,” Lucci told People magazine. She said she did not think she would act again following the loss of her husband. “It came at a point where I had recently lost my husband and I frankly never thought I would go in front of a camera again,” she said.
Lucci ultimately said she could not resist the opportunity and the great writing. She stated that Hill was as wonderful a director as he is an actor. On Instagram, she captioned a photo from the premiere, calling it “love at first fitting.”
The film Outcome premieres on Apple TV on April 10, 2026. It follows Reef Hawk, a beloved Hollywood star played by Keanu Reeves, who is being extorted with a mysterious video. The movie features an all-star cast including Cameron Diaz, Matt Bomer, and Jonah Hill.
Other cast members include Martin Scorsese, Laverne Cox, David Spade, and Atsuko Okatsuka. Roy Wood Jr., Kaia Gerber, and Ivy Wolk are also part of the film’s cast alongside Susan Lucci and Keanu Reeves.[]
