dailyloe.com – Severe storm threats are set to return to Dallas-Fort Worth on Tuesday evening, according to FOX 4 Weather Meteorologist Berkeley Taylor. The cold front moving through North Texas is expected to bring risks of damaging winds, large hail, and an isolated tornado.
Local authorities have identified two victims from last weekend’s EF-2 tornadoes in Parker and Wise counties. Recovery efforts continue, and school closures remain in effect in those areas.
Throughout the week, lingering showers are anticipated, with the heaviest rain expected on Friday. Afterward, the region is expected to dry out for the weekend.
On Tuesday, a cold front will keep storm chances high. A morning disturbance will bring showers and storms, mainly near the Red River, with more scattered activity anticipated in the afternoon and evening.
Some storms could become severe, producing damaging winds and very large hail. Although the tornado threat is low, isolated touchdowns cannot be ruled out.
Afternoon highs are forecasted to reach the mid-80s before conditions settle overnight. The National Weather Service has issued a Level 4 Moderate risk, emphasizing the possibility of very large hail.
Residents are advised to remain weather aware starting in the early afternoon as storms redevelop to the north and around rush hour for the Metroplex. A Tornado Watch has been issued for Red River County until 7 p.m.
Authorities have confirmed the identities of two individuals killed in the recent tornadoes. The Madrid family shared that Juan Madrid, 51, was the primary provider for his family and will be deeply missed.
