dailyloe.com – Cincinnati will see rain and a chance of storms Friday evening, according to WLWT. The weather system is part of the same line that caused severe destruction elsewhere earlier. However, the line will be much weaker by the time it reaches the Tri-State. This will impact Friday plans but not to the same extent.

Rain showers are currently visible on radar with no severe weather at the moment. The southern fringe of the line is bringing heavy rain to Arkansas. That heavy rain will stay far south of Cincinnati. The line moving toward the area currently shows only showers.

Rainfall will increase slightly as the line moves closer to Indianapolis and across the Ohio Valley. The severe weather threat for Cincinnati this evening is quite minimal. It is a Level 1 marginal risk across the Tri-State. This means any rain storms later this evening could have a few spotty areas with brief gusty winds.

Winds could potentially reach up to 50 miles per hour. They will not be that strong, and most areas will not see strong winds. The line will be pretty broken as it reaches the region. From now until 2 p.m., conditions will stay dry with temperatures climbing toward 80 degrees.

By 2 or 3 p.m. through the early evening, there could be a few spotty showers. The main line of storms with the front will arrive closer to 6 p.m. tonight. By 7 to 8 p.m., that line will roll through, possibly bringing brief gusty winds. Sunshine will start to disappear as clouds roll in.

By about 6 p.m., the slow-moving line reaches southeast Indiana. It will be right on the front doorstep, broken. Some areas may see rain while others stay dry.
