South Carolina Highway Patrol Master Trooper Joseph Rowell provided details. A 2018 Kia sedan was traveling north from Highway 707 to Highway 31. The vehicle struck a pedestrian who was walking in the roadway.

The driver of the Kia sustained no injuries from the collision. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased pedestrian. The crash remains under investigation by local highway patrol.
