dailyloe.com – Pop Culture Jeopardy! has returned for its second season on Netflix, hosted by comedian Colin Jost. The show combines traditional Jeopardy! with the dynamic world of pop culture, featuring contestants in teams of two. With categories encompassing movies, music, and viral trends, teams compete for a grand prize of $300,000.
In the latest episode, the team One Baddie After Another, consisting of Jonathan and McShane, emerged victorious with a total of $27,200, allowing them to advance to the next episode. Other competing teams included Peggy and Ilanna, known as Cheaper by the Cousin, and Becca and Sam, who call themselves Jeopardazed and Confused.
Today’s Final Jeopardy category was “2009 NO. 1 HITS.” The clue provided was: “The rapper behind this song said he wanted to rap about ‘regular guidebook stuff’ alongside ‘the city’s gritty side.'” The correct answer was “What is Empire State of Mind?” Cheaper by the Cousin wagered everything on their answer but ended up with $0 after misidentifying the song.
Jeopardazed and Confused entered Final Jeopardy with $12,600 and correctly answered the clue, wagering $6,700 to finish with $19,300. Despite their efforts, they could not surpass One Baddie After Another’s lead.
Colin Jost humorously remarked on One Baddie After Another’s strategy of wagering nothing, calling it a “weak” move, but acknowledged their win. The team will progress to Episode 2, scheduled for May 12, 2026, at 2:00 AM CDT.
The Pop Culture Jeopardy! schedule continues with new episodes airing daily through May 15, 2026.
