dailyloe.com – The NASCAR Cup Series is not racing this Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026. This marks the first scheduled off weekend for the premier series this season. The break provides a pause before a critical stretch of races.

According to the official schedule, the series does not always have Easter off. This year, it utilizes one of its two planned off weekends. The lower-tier O’Reilly Auto Parts and Craftsman Truck Series raced earlier at Rockingham.

The next Cup Series race is the Food City 500 on April 12. It will be held at Bristol Motor Speedway in northeast Tennessee. This 500-lap event introduces a new high-horsepower package at the track.

Chase Elliott won the most recent race at Martinsville Speedway on March 29. He defeated Denny Hamlin in the Cook Out 400. Tyler Reddick continues to lead the 2026 championship points standings.

The 2026 season began with the Daytona 500 on February 15. Tyler Reddick was the winner of that prestigious season-opening event. The schedule has since included stops in Atlanta, Austin, Phoenix, and Las Vegas.[]
