dailyloe.com – Lisa Kudrow recently addressed a long-standing debate among Friends fans regarding Ross Geller’s actions. The question of whether Ross was cheating on Rachel Green has divided viewers for nearly 30 years. During her appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Kudrow shared her candid opinion on the matter.

Kudrow, known for portraying Phoebe Buffay, was asked about Ross’s infidelity while he was in a rough patch with Rachel. Ross believed he was not in a relationship when he slept with another woman, Chloe. However, Rachel viewed his actions as cheating, leading to ongoing discussions among fans.

“It’s beyond break or not. He was a bad boyfriend,” Kudrow stated. She expressed her fear to tackle the controversial topic but felt relieved when the audience reacted positively. “Oh, you agree! Oh, I feel better,” she added, thanking the audience for their support.

Kudrow emphasized that Rachel should not have reconciled with Ross, labeling him as horrible. “To me, it’s like, I don’t care if he slept with three other women or no other women,” she explained. She highlighted that Ross’s reaction to Rachel’s work crisis was unacceptable.

When asked if David Schwimmer, who played Ross, shared her opinion, Kudrow responded, “He knows now.” Kudrow also spoke about the scrutiny faced by the female cast members of Friends, including Courteney Cox, due to the predominantly male writers’ room.

Reflecting on the show’s history, Kudrow revealed the challenging environment behind the scenes. “Don’t forget we were recording in front of a live audience of 400,” she noted. Any mistakes could lead to harsh criticism from the writers.

Kudrow recalled the intense atmosphere, with male writers discussing their fantasies about female cast members. She remarked that while the environment could be brutal, the writers were dedicated, often working late into the night to produce the show.

Her comments shed light on the dynamics within Friends, highlighting the pressures faced by the female leads. Kudrow’s take on Ross’s behavior adds another layer to the ongoing discussion among Friends fans.
