Tucker, a major offseason acquisition, singled to right field to score Alex Freeland. Freeland had doubled earlier in the inning against reliever Kevin Ginkel. This marked Tucker’s second consecutive game with a key contribution for his new team.

Closer Edwin Diaz sealed the win with a dramatic ninth inning. He entered the game to his signature walk-out song, ‘Narcos’ by Timmy Trumpet. A live trumpeter in a Dodgers jersey performed the tune.
Diaz, signed to a $69 million deal, converted the save opportunity. He struck out Carlos Santana and Jordan Lawler while allowing a walk. Diaz ended the game by retiring Ketel Marte on a groundout.
The Dodgers improved their early season record to 2-0 with the win. Arizona fell to 0-2. The series concludes on Saturday with Eduardo Rodriguez scheduled to start for Arizona against Tyler Glasnow for Los Angeles.[]
