dailyloe.com – Coventry City manager Frank Lampard has made four changes to his starting lineup for tonight’s Championship fixture against Hull City at the MKM Stadium. The match kicks off at 8pm local time with Hull currently sitting fifth in the league table. One change was forced due to a player injury sustained last week.

The most significant team news is the absence of centre-half Bobby Thomas. He picked up a knock during the Good Friday match against Derby County. His place is taken by Joel Latibeaudiere, who partners Liam Kitching in central defence.

Full-backs Milan van Ewijk and Jay Dasilva retain their positions in the back four. Goalkeeper Carl Rushworth also continues between the posts for the away side. The defensive unit shows three changes from the previous outing.

In midfield, captain Matt Grimes and Frank Onyeka remain as the holding pair. Tatsuhiro Sakamoto starts again on the right wing for Coventry. Ephron Mason-Clark returns on the left flank, replacing Romain Esse.

Victor Torp comes into the team for Josh Eccles in the number ten role. US international striker Haji Wright is the fourth change, starting upfront. He replaces Ellis Simms, who moves to the substitutes’ bench.

Brandon Thomas-Asante is still unavailable for selection due to injury. He is not yet ready after a hamstring issue suffered at Swansea. Match-winner Jack Rudoni from the last game also starts among the substitutes.

Rudoni is continuing a phased return from his own calf injury. The bench includes attacking options like Ellis Simms, Romain Esse, and Jahnoah Markelo. They provide cover should Lampard need to change the game.

Coventry’s starting eleven is: Rushworth; van Ewijk, Latibeaudiere, Kitching, Dasilva; Onyeka, Grimes; Sakamoto, Torp, Mason-Clark, Wright. The full list of substitutes includes Ben Wilson, Luke Woolfenden, and Jake Bidwell. Josh Eccles, Markelo, Rudoni, Simms, Esse, and Jamie Allen complete the bench.[]
