dailyloe.com – Pittsburgh is experiencing cool temperatures and scattered showers as the week progresses. Thunderstorms are currently moving through western Pennsylvania, expected to clear within the next 40 minutes.

After the storms pass, scattered showers will remain in the area for a few hours. By about 8:00 PM, the rain is anticipated to subside.

Heavy rain is currently affecting portions of Indiana County, particularly along and east of Route 119. A tornado warning was previously issued for Indiana County, extending down to the Route 22 corridor.

As the evening progresses, rainfall coverage will diminish, leading to colder temperatures over the weekend. The forecast indicates temperatures in the 50s from Thursday through Sunday, with continued shower chances.

Dry conditions are expected for the weekend, which is beneficial for the upcoming marathon. Next week, temperatures are predicted to rise back into the 60s, with rain chances likely on Monday and Wednesday.

Currently, no day next week appears to be a complete washout compared to the weather experienced today. By 5:00 PM, storms should dissipate, ending the severe threat, but scattered showers will linger for a couple more hours.

By 6:00 PM, the back edge of the rain is expected to move into western areas, clearing by 8:00 or 9:00 PM. Patchy, dense fog may develop overnight, with isolated showers forming throughout the day tomorrow.

Tomorrow’s forecast includes a chance for isolated showers, but conditions are not expected to lead to a washout. Showers will likely fizzle out after sunset, leading into Friday.
