dailyloe.com – On Saturday, Caitlin Clark made her return to the WNBA during a game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. This marked her first regular-season game since July 15, following injuries that limited her to 13 games last season.

Clark, the 2024 No. 1 pick, Rookie of the Year, and two-time All-Star, scored 20 points, recorded seven assists, and grabbed five rebounds. However, her 3-point shooting was less than stellar, finishing 2-for-9 from beyond the arc.

“I feel good,” Clark stated after the Indiana Fever’s 107-104 loss to the Dallas Wings. She mentioned feeling anxious before the game but overall believed she performed well.

Clark addressed her performance, noting, “I started off a little slow, I think just the anxiety of the first game, trying to work through that.” She expressed that she was close to achieving a significantly better game.

During the match, Clark had to leave the bench area twice to receive treatment from medical staff. She explained that she needed to have her “back adjusted,” but was able to return to the game each time.

“It gets out of line pretty quickly,” Clark explained regarding her back issues. “So just that, just getting my back put back in place a little bit. But other than that, feel great.”

Fever coach Stephanie White commented that maintaining the body is crucial. She noted that Clark has adjusted her body to accommodate her injuries.
