dailyloe.com – VfB Stuttgart’s goalkeeping department is set for significant changes as Alexander Nübel prepares to leave the club. Nübel, currently on loan from Bayern Munich, has been a reliable presence for three years. His future destination remains uncertain as Stuttgart looks to promote from within.

Dennis Seimen is expected to return to Stuttgart after a successful loan at SC Paderborn 07. His performances in the 2. Bundesliga have earned him the position of number one goalkeeper. Seimen is viewed as one of Germany’s promising talents in goalkeeping.

Florian Hellstern, another young talent, has also secured his future at Stuttgart. The club announced a contract extension for Hellstern, who plays for the reserves in the 3. Liga. His next steps are still under discussion, with potential loan options being explored.

According to Bild, Stuttgart is considering loaning Hellstern to a 2. Bundesliga team or abroad. Preliminary discussions have already taken place regarding this move. Hellstern expressed his enthusiasm about playing in the third division, acknowledging his areas for improvement.

Nübel’s situation remains complex as he is set to travel with Germany to the World Cup. He has indicated a desire to maintain his status as the number one goalkeeper. Bayern Munich, however, is likely to extend captain Manuel Neuer’s contract, which complicates Nübel’s future.

Stuttgart faces challenges in retaining Nübel due to his significant salary of €11 million per year. This cost is shared between Stuttgart and Bayern during his loan. With a contract at Bayern until 2029, a permanent exit this summer appears probable.

Sporting director Max Eberl aims to reduce wages, making Nübel’s departure more likely. Discussions about a transfer fee of €20–25 million for Nübel have emerged. Stuttgart’s goalkeeping plans are now focused on Seimen’s promotion and Hellstern’s future.
