dailyloe.com – The Utah Mammoth hockey team unveiled a new fan experience vehicle called the ‘Zammoth’ in Salt Lake City. This custom ride was converted from an actual ice resurfacing machine. It will debut during a home game against the Edmonton Oilers.
The Zammoth is built on the frame of a Zamboni from the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics. The Utah-based Diesel Brothers helped transform the historic machine. It no longer cleans the ice but now serves as a passenger vehicle.
The vehicle measures approximately 17 feet long, 7 feet wide, and 8 feet tall. It can carry up to eight riders at a time. Fans will ride it on the ice during pregame activities and intermissions.
This project turns a piece of local Olympic history into a new team attraction. The Mammoth aim to enhance the game-day experience for their supporters. The Zammoth represents a unique blend of sports history and modern fan engagement.[]
