dailyloe.com – Ubisoft has announced a real-life treasure hunt offering a $500,000 prize, coinciding with the release of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced.

The game launches on July 9 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. To participate in the treasure hunt, players must pay a minimum of $40.

This treasure hunt is created in collaboration with Unsolved Hunts. The initial participation tier, the Deckhand pack, costs $39.99 and includes a digital version of the treasure hunt game.

Additional tiers offer more benefits, including a physical version of the game, a themed notebook, and various pirate games. The highest tier, known as the Pirate Lord, is priced at $229.99 and includes several exclusive items.

This Pirate Lord pack comes with both digital and physical versions of the treasure hunt game, a themed notebook, and the pirate strategy game Chaotic Armada. Additionally, it includes the investigation game Amelia Davies and the Treasure of Blackbeard, a real gold coin, Captain Edward Kenway’s flag, and a seal, wax, and calligraphy set.

The treasure itself is contained within a handcrafted replica chest from the game. The treasure includes minted gold coins valued at $350,000 and a crystal skull worth $150,000.

Participants will need to solve 15 riddles to locate the treasure. Ubisoft and Unsolved Hunts estimate that it may take players up to five years to complete the hunt.

Only one player will ultimately succeed in finding the treasure chest in the Caribbean. Additional details regarding the treasure hunt are available from Unsolved Hunts.

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is a remake of the original 2013 title, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, set for release on July 9.
