dailyloe.com – Three ATP Tour champions have already staged dramatic comebacks in the 2026 season, saving match points on their way to lifting trophies. This feat adds a significant layer of achievement to winning a title. The players involved are Ben Shelton, Mariano Navone, and Tommy Paul.

Ben Shelton performed a great escape at the Nexo Dallas Open in February. He saved three championship points to win the ATP 500 event. This victory was a highlight of the early season.

In April, Mariano Navone fended off two match points in his semi-final at the Tiriac Open. He achieved this in Bucharest against opponent Botic van de Zandschulp. Navone then won his first tour-level title the very next day.

On that same April day, Tommy Paul also mounted a comeback. He saved three championship points at the U.S. Men’s Clay Court Championship. This win marked his first tour-level crown since the 2024 season.

Winning an ATP Tour title is a notable accomplishment on its own. Doing so after facing match point makes the victory even more memorable. These three performances define resilience in the 2026 season so far.[]
