She walked the WNBA draft’s orange carpet in a specific ensemble. It featured a black-sequined NBD Janhvi Maxi Dress from Revolve. The outfit included black nylon gloves and patent leather pumps from Christian Louboutin. Accessories from Bondeye Jewelry and a clutch by Olga Berg completed the look.
A sculpted curl of hair on her forehead was a standout detail. This was a clear homage to the iconic performer Josephine Baker. Fellow Gamecocks star Raven Johnson also paid homage to Black glamour icons. The theme celebrated their legacies on an important night.
The Los Angeles Sparks selected Latson with the 20th overall pick. This sent her to the city that inspired her draft night look. She described the moment as surreal and a dream come true. Latson expressed excitement about joining the Sparks organization.
