He recorded a time of 3.724 seconds at an astonishing speed of 345.00 mph in his Kalitta Air dragster.
This performance surpassed the previous speed record of 343.51 mph set by Brittany Force in Indianapolis last year.
Langdon’s incredible pass secured him the provisional No. 1 spot at the NHRA Southern Nationals, which is the fifth race of the 2026 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season.
Alongside Langdon, J.R. Todd in Funny Car, Greg Anderson in Pro Stock, and Matt Smith in Pro Stock Motorcycle also claimed provisional No. 1 qualifiers.
Langdon, a former world champion, is now on track for his third No. 1 qualifier of the season and the 25th in his career.
This achievement highlights Langdon’s impressive performance during testing and sets a new benchmark in drag racing.
