dailyloe.com – The Houston Rockets have assigned 52 different jersey numbers since their 1967 founding. This series honors every player who has worn them. Today’s focus is on the 20th of 21 athletes to wear number 10.
That player is veteran guard Eric Gordon. Gordon was selected seventh overall in the 2008 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Clippers. He played for the Clippers and New Orleans Pelicans before joining Houston.
Gordon signed with the Rockets as a free agent in 2019. He was traded back to the Clippers in February 2023. His entire Houston tenure was spent exclusively in jersey number 10.
During his Rockets career, Gordon averaged 15.7 points per game. He also contributed 2.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists on average. These statistics are provided by Basketball Reference.
The Rockets have retired seven jersey numbers in their history. Gordon’s number 10 is not among those retired honors. His stint is now part of the team’s extensive numerical legacy.[]
