dailyloe.com – Riot Games is taking action regarding a significant bug affecting Neon in Valorant. This decision comes as the studio locks her away for the rest of the current patch. The adjustments are set to be implemented in the upcoming Patch 12.09.
Neon has encountered a game-breaking bug related to her Fast Lane ability, which was identified as a graphics exploit impacting competitive integrity. This issue appears to be limited to the PC platform, leading to Neon’s temporary removal from play.
In addition to addressing the bug, Riot revealed that Neon will not return unchanged. According to the studio, “some Neon changes” have been planned for a while, aimed at correcting aspects of her kit deemed over-tuned.
These changes will go live with Patch 12.09, scheduled for release on May 8. This follows the double Duelist trend in Valorant, where both Neon and other agents like Yoru and Waylay have gained popularity.
At the VCT Masters Santiago, Neon registered a 45% presence among Duelists, showcasing her effectiveness in competitive play. In contrast, Yoru and Waylay had presence rates of 62% and 36%, respectively, highlighting the dominance of these agents.
Neon’s ability to reposition rapidly has made her a formidable opponent in pro play, complicating teams’ efforts to track her movements. Following the Masters, Yoru received significant nerfs, which may shift the balance for Duelists in future matches.
Neon’s performance has consistently overshadowed other agents, largely due to the current state of the game and the limited effectiveness of her primary counters.
