On April 17, 2026, Oklahoma City Mayor David Holt presented a sapling to Bush, recalling his family’s support for the city. This sapling will be planted at the George W. Bush Presidential Center in the Laura W. Bush Native Texas Park.
In addition to this, saplings from the Survivor Tree have been planted in major parks in Oklahoma. A sapling was planted at Scissortail Park in Oklahoma City in 2019, while another was donated to Tulsa’s Gathering Place.
