dailyloe.com – The National Football League announced its 2026 season kickoff plans on March 25, 2026. The season will start on Wednesday, September 9, in Seattle. The Super Bowl LX champion Seahawks will host the game at 8:20 p.m. ET.

The game will be broadcast nationally on NBC and Peacock. It is presented by YouTube TV. The Seahawks’ specific Week 1 opponent remains to be announced.

In a major international move, the 49ers will play the Rams in Melbourne. This marks the first NFL regular-season game ever held in Australia. It is scheduled for Thursday, September 10, at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Ticket sales for the Melbourne game begin in early April. Hospitality packages go on sale via Ticketmaster on Monday, April 6. General public tickets follow on Tuesday, April 7.

The league confirmed a record nine international games for 2026. These will be played across four continents and seven countries. Games are planned for eight different stadiums worldwide.
