dailyloe.com – WWE.com and Pat McAfee Show contributor Mark Kaboly has outlined his reasons for Pat McAfee aligning with Randy Orton against Cody Rhodes. This alliance is set for WrestleMania 42 on April 18. Kaboly asserts this move will save wrestling. He felt obligated to share his feelings after recent events.

Kaboly referenced an impromptu mic moment by Cody Rhodes about his boss, Pat McAfee. CM Punk also delivered a ‘pipe bomb’ on the topic days later. This prompted Kaboly to step out of his safe space. He aims to lay out the situation in simple terms.

He states that what McAfee is doing for WWE should be appreciated. This extends to wrestling in general. Kaboly believes it will be appreciated. After a week of silence, he decided to drop his own pipe bomb.

Kaboly questions what McAfee said that fans weren’t already expressing. He points to fan reaction videos to Raw, SmackDown, or PLE events. Not a single word McAfee said was untrue or out of line, according to Kaboly. The media team knows this as well.

McAfee called Cody Rhodes ‘a man that represents everything that we hate.’ Kaboly asks fans to think about their own past comments on Rhodes. He references the comment about the Gorilla Position as something seen before. This issue is not solely about Rhodes as WWE Champion.

Rhodes is just the latest in a line, Kaboly explains. It is about a lifelong fan like McAfee drifting from the sport. This drift is due to what wrestling was and what it is now. Unlike many who vent online, McAfee is actually doing something about it.

That action is what frustrates people, Kaboly states. He believes the core issue is jealousy. Kaboly reiterates a phrase he often uses: ‘Jealousy is an ugly emotion, maybe the worst emotion.’ He says this whole groundswell is about that emotion.

Fans are upset it wasn’t somebody who ‘made sense’ to them on the phone with Randy Orton. They wanted a person who grew up in the business with a legacy. Instead, it was a ‘part-timer’ who punted a football at the highest level. McAfee is now a successful businessman adored by many outside wrestling.

When it wasn’t the expected person, fans felt insulted, Kaboly concludes. His final message to those fans is simple: ‘Don’t be jealous.'[]
