The MTA 519e is designed for practical lift heights and significant load capacities. It can run a variety of skid steer attachments, enhancing its versatility on job sites. The chassis and structure are built for robustness to handle heavy loads confidently.
Nathan Ryan, compact loader product manager at Manitou Group, explained the machine’s design philosophy. He stated that the chassis and inherent robustness allow operators to lift and position loads with total confidence. Ryan added that combined with hydraulic performance, it results in an efficient and pleasant machine to operate.
The telehandler is powered by a 35 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. This energy-dense battery is sourced from a joint venture with Chinese forklift brand Hangcha. The battery sends power to an electric drive motor producing 200 Nm of torque.
This powertrain enables a lifting capacity of over 5,500 pounds. It can lift this load to a maximum height of 19 feet, or approximately 6 meters. These specs position it as a capable electric alternative in its class.
The launch is a key step in Manitou’s Lift 2030 strategy focused on electrification. It represents the company’s response to shifting demands in the construction and material handling sectors. The growth of the telehandler market is a driving factor behind this innovation.[]
