Durant was diagnosed with a bone bruise in his ankle after further testing. This injury typically requires two to three weeks of recovery during the regular season.
Despite undergoing around-the-clock treatment, Durant has not received medical clearance to play. He sustained the injury during the second half of the Rockets’ Game 2 loss to the Lakers.
Following the injury, Durant experienced swelling, stiffness, and reduced mobility in his ankle. He attended the Rockets facility for rehab, participating in film sessions and team meetings.
Durant has been involved in all non-basketball activities with the team over the weekend. In his first season with Houston, he missed only four regular-season games, none due to injuries.
This marks the third game Durant will miss in the postseason.
