dailyloe.com – Karolina Muchova secured her first-ever victory over Coco Gauff on Friday, April 17, 2026, at the WTA tournament in Stuttgart, Germany.

The Czech player ended a six-match losing streak against the reigning Roland Garros champion.

Muchova won the match in three sets with a final score of 6-3, 5-7, 6-3.

The victory advanced her to the semifinals of the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix.

Muchova had previously won only one set against Gauff in their head-to-head rivalry.

Her most recent loss to Gauff was a 6-1, 6-1 defeat last month at the Miami Open.

Gauff had been in impressive form through the spring season.

She reached her first final at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.

In that Miami final, Gauff pushed world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka to three sets.

In Stuttgart, Muchova weathered a second-set recovery from the No. 2 seed.

She regained her footing in the decisive third set to secure the win.

The match lasted two hours and 24 minutes on Center Court.
