dailyloe.com – During the PGA Championship at Aronimink Golf Club on May 14, Justin Thomas and Keegan Bradley confronted an official regarding pace of play. The incident occurred as the players were on the fourth hole when an official approached them in a cart. The conversation escalated to finger-pointing as Thomas and Bradley expressed their frustrations.

Thomas mentioned that he, Bradley, and Cameron Young were put on the clock and told to pick up the pace. However, they felt the official’s actions were misplaced, as they were not holding up the group behind them. Thomas stated, “We just didn’t really agree with it,” highlighting the challenging course conditions and their current position relative to the group ahead.

After the encounter, Thomas noted that they managed to catch up with the pace on the next hole. He had an extended discussion with the official, while Bradley’s response was more concise, indicating his dissatisfaction with the call. The tournament featured a large field of 156 golfers, with many groups starting their rounds on the back nine.

At that point in the tournament, only 25 players were under par, reflecting the difficulty of the course. Aronimink presents unique challenges, including shared tee boxes and intersecting holes. Key holes include three par-3s exceeding 200 yards and a notably long par-4 on the fourth hole.
